And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
(Romans 12:2)
What We're
ABOUT
T
he Youth Ministry at Calvary Chapel East Anaheim seeks to transform the lives of
Jr. High and High School students into the image of Jesus Christ. We believe that
teenagers are more than capable of learning the foundations of the Christian life,
that they are more than able to be used effectively by God in reaching a lost world,
and that they can personally and authentically fall in love with the God that saved
them.
In light of this, we filter much of what we do through the following truths::
- The Word of God is essential to a transformed life.
Therefore, we put a high emphasis on teaching the Word of God. We go chapter
by chapter, verse by verse, through books in the Bible, pausing occasionally for
a topical series.
- The practice of truth is essential to a discipled life.
Therefore, we make it our aim to provide opportunities for the students to live
out what they are learning. This includes, among many things, missions trips abroad
and locally in our own community, practical service opportunities, and street evangelism.
- The fellowship of God's people is essential to a nurtured
life. Therefore, we structure our services and activities in a way where
students can be known and know others in a meaningful way. We provide small groups
and small gatherings for true friendship and fellowship to happen.
